There is a web site called http://www.auctionlotwatch.co.uk, they list all the auction sites.
I think E bay is the most popular, but it depends what you intend to sell. If you require market research to see what items fetch price wise etc, E Bay does have this facility but you have to pay.

It depends what you’re selling, but generally, ebay, then ebid - plus others like CQout and epier. I’ve also had good success on Amazon Marketplace but the fees are quite high.
